Bardolino
Bardolino, of palafitticola origin, rises to the
morainic, rich hill feet of vineyards and olive groves, and protende on the water with two
colorful for a long time immemorabile punte. Famous, for the name given to the valuable
wine of the zone.
"A very mild climate, Mediterranean vegetation, charming
harbour and a world renowned wine"
One of the brightest
resorts on the south east shore of Lake Garda, Bardolino shares many of the
delights of the region with its near neighbour Garda town Encircled by vineyards
and olive groves, wooded hills and cypress trees, the atmosphere is distinctly
Mediterranean Its narrow, traffic free streets and lakeside promenade,
delightful cafés and charming views find favour with its visitors Bardolino
offers a wealth of events from sailing regattas to symphony concerts The
churches, particularly the rustic 12th century chapel of San Pietro and 11th
century San Severo church, are well worth a visit There are opportunities to
visit other resorts around the lake by ferry, hydrofoil or even by taking an
evening excursion When the sun goes down the resort comes alive: the promenades
are full of strollers enjoying the mild evening air, the cafés serve gargantuan
ice creams, the restaurants draw diners to their delicious local fish dishes and
a taste of the local wine bearing the name of the resort is a top priority
