 Tremosine
|
Known like the window on the
lake of Garda, the plateau of Tremosine that allows to admire the entire
river basin of the Benaco, is subdivided in 18 fractions. The possibility
to practice sport that they go from the trekking to the alpine excursion
and, to Champion windsurf and the sail makes of this place one of the more
interesting of the lake of Garda.
The village stands on a
rock, directly overlooking the lake, from where there is a magnificent
view of both shores of Lake Garda. In the village itself there are still
a number of fine churches wiuth arched doorways and windows framed by
corbels of sculpted stone; the parish church, which was reconstructed in
the 17th c., was originally a fine 12th-c. Romanesque parish church.
